It's nice to be in Nice!

I love that our girls trips have become a frequent event, and even more wonderful is that our trip to the South of France has become an annual trip!

There is no-where more beautiful, where the sun shines every day and where so much fun is had.

This trip was extra special as we were celebrating this little one getting engaged!

And, of course, the rest of the Chicas became bridesmaids. So much to celebrate. The champagne was flowing and was never ending.

The first day we woke up and sat outside in the early morning heat of the day, digging into a wonderful brunch of orzo, avo, quails eggs and so many other goodies.

Fuelled and ready to go we headed down to Nice sea-front and picked up some bikes. We had a wonderful day whizzing down the promenade, feeling the sea-breeze knotting our hair.

Of course we cycled to the old port and to a mojito bar that over looks the harbour. Again, one we had worked out the practicalities of drinking we dived right in and gorged ourselves on some wonderful mezze boards.

A rather more wobbly cycle back was the result! However, we were treated to a gorgeous pink sunset across the bay.

The next day we headed to the beach and to our favourite beach club; Helios! The team are all so friendly and attentive, making sure every day is special and enjoyable.

We swam, gossiped and planned wedding details. We ate prawns bigger than our heads and sipped ice cold rose to keep ourselves cool. Obviously a day at the beach would not be complete without one of the Chica Mamas.

Other than my flight being cancelled, the weekend was perfect, filled with fun, friends and new memories!

Happy girls definitely are the prettiest.

Love you girls! SM (soon to be SHC), we cannot wait to be there for your big day, thanks for choosing us to be your bridesmaids!

The Only Way Is Lulworth

A week or so ago HS, ER and I packed up the car with fake tan, eyelashes and carrot sticks and headed down to Dorset for what promised to be an eventful Officer's mess party. We were not disappointed!.

Inspired by the TV show TOWIE, we were encouraged to bling it up and slosh on the fake tan. The dresses were shorter, the make-up was heavier, the heels were higher and the drinks were flowing.

Everybody had a wonderful night, made even better by never-ending cocktails, dancing all night and a few cheeky shenanigans.

The rest of the weekend was spend enjoying lazy pub lunches and delicious brunches. We also managed to find a second to fit in a quick round of croquet, complete with sea views.

Thanks for a great night ladies!

Bath Beauties

Last weekend I was reunited with the wonderful dance girls in the beautiful town of Bath. Being back at uni is just not the same without these girls and so weekends like this remind me how special they are and how much fun we have together. SH was the hostess with the most-ess and welcomed us all with big fat cuddles and endless supplies of food, she knows the way to our hearts! After a good old catch-up and exchanging of belated birthday gifts (thank you!) we headed out into town for dinner. Sadly I was far too busy enjoying the incredible cocktails and wine that I forgot to take photos of dinner, nevertheless I can reassure you that it was delicious!

And any restaurant with this motto is a winner in my book!

The next morning, we all packed into the car and headed out on the SH driving tour of Bath. Due to the slight drizzle we decided that going by car was by far the best way to see the city, despite being a little lazy. We visited the Crescent, the Circus, the Pump Room and the Abby as well as the loveliest little bridge across the river. Bath is honestly one of the prettiest towns I have ever visited and I cannot believe that I hadn't visited before. One thing is for sure, I will be back, especially as we didn't have the time to visit the spa, which is apparently amazing.

Thank you girlies for a wonderful weekend of cocktails, presents, gossiping, hump-back whale impressions, cake, board games and all round dance committee fun! Go team!
